Belotero®
Merz Pharmaceutical’s Belotero Balance is FDA approved to add volume to superficial facial wrinkles and folds. This hyaluronic acid-based soft tissue filler has been widely used in Europe and Canada for years. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found in the body’s connective tissues.
Its supply dwindles with advancing age, but injections of Belotero or other hyaluronic acid-based fillers can increase volume, creating a more youthful appearance. Due to its ability to treat superficial wrinkles, Belotero holds an advantage over other dermal fillers since it can be administered close to the surface of the skin without causing a blue hue.

Chemical Peels

At Dr. Khorenian’s office we perform glycolic and salicylic peels. There are three types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong – alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol – and formula strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look.
Dysport®
Dysport is an FDA-approved injection used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles in the forehead. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. Dysport injections are made from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, the same protein used in Botox injections.
Dysport injections are ideal for nearly anyone wishing to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and restore a younger, more refreshed appearance. The injections are administered directly into the facial muscles that cause frown lines and other wrinkles; these injections are generally painless, with no need for anesthesia. Microdermabrasion

A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.
Radiesse®
Radiesse is a synthetic injectable filler that reduces wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting the body’s natural collagen supply. Composed of microspheres in a biocompatible gel, Radiesse is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries little risk of allergic reaction. Radiesse can be used on many areas of the body, including the lips, nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures.
Treatments typically take 15 minutes and require only local anesthetic. Side effects such as swelling or bruising are minimal and should fade within a few days. Results are visible immediately after the injection and can last for months or years, although the procedure can be repeated as often as you wish.
RHA Collection®
RHA Redensity™ is indicated for injection into the dermis and superficial dermis of the face, for the correction of moderate to severe dynamic perioral rhytids in adults 22 or older.

Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine is indicated for implantation into the deep dermis to superficial subcutis for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds, for subcutaneous to supraperiosteal implantation for cheek augmentation, and for the correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies in patients over the age of 21.

Restylane provides results that are noticeable immediately after injection, although it may take a few days for swelling to subside. Day-to-day activities can be resumed immediately afterwards, with no downtime necessary. To maintain its effects, additional Restylane injections should be administered about 4 to 8 months later.

Selphyl-PRP®
The Selphyl® System is a patented technology for the safe and rapid preparation of autologous Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM), using a small amount of a patient’s own blood.
The Selphyl® System is safe to use and naturally reverses the aging process in a subtle yet stunning way. After all, nothing is more natural than you.
Procedure
During a short office visit (30 minutes), a small amount of a patient’s own blood is drawn into a vacuum collection tube containing a gel separator. The tube is then placed into a centrifuge and spun for six minutes to separate the blood into a supernatant plasma/platelet suspension, with the remaining cells located below the separator gel. The fibrin, platelets, and serum are then transferred in a closed system to a second vacuum tube containing a small amount of calcium chloride solution. Fibrin polymerization begins and there is approximately 10 minutes to inject the PRFM. Platelets are embedded into the fibrin matrix. Platelets have been shown to be viable and capable of a sustained release of growth factors over seven days, which is associated with tissue regeneration.
Treatment Areas

The Selphyl® System Technology is safe and requires zero patient down time. Xeomin®
When you squint or frown, the muscles between your brows contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. These lines that occur due to facial mimics are referred to as dynamic lines. Botulinum toxin type A – the active ingredient in XEOMIN® – is used in facial aesthetic treatment to treat dynamic lines like glabellar frown lines.
